I'm worried.
Trav and I and (yet another) conversation last night about mobile homes in Florida. He spent 30 years there, and I don't think GL has ever understood that it's not the money spent. It's the non-hurricane protection.
(Why yes, I do believe in making up words. )
SLUGGO!!!!!!! Fill us in! He might dis me, but he would never diss you.

He's not stupid. He knows to get out of harm's way.
I'm crossing my fingers with hopes he drives home to see ME! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Well I have been watching the news about this and here's what I can tell you.
It looks like the eye of the Hurricaine (which is now a Category 4) will hit land far south of the County GL lives in.
There is a Curfew from dusk til dawn in Pinellas county (which is where GL lives).
They'll still get beat up pretty bad there but not nerely as bad as the people in Fort Meyere, Sanibal, Captiva and Coral Gables. Looks like Naples will be on the south end of the worst part as well.
Orlando is going to get slammed hard and Disney has shut down all it's parks.

I'm going down to Tampa end of this month for some email support training. GL and I were planning on having lunch a couple of times since my training site and his office are about a stone's throw from each other.
Assuming of course that both buildings are still there end of this month!

I just tried to call him and the number is out of service. I don't know if that's because of Charley, or what. The number was good on Wednesday.

gae - I posted a topic last (Friday) evening but you may have missed it. GL called me last night. He was at his home, using his brother's cell phone. The worst of the hurricane missed him . They did get high winds and rain. But in the confusion on Thursday he laid down his cell phone and forgot to pick it up & when he went back for it it was gone so he had the service cancelled. He said the aside from the day his mom died Thursday and Friday were the worst days of his life. He was very frightened. I'm so glad he is all right.

Thanks for the update, Sluggo. I was concerned when I couldn't reach him.
